Series: Adding To Your Faith - 2 Peter 1:1-10

Source text 2 Peter 1:1-10

Learning from the wisdom of the Holy Spirit given through the words of Simon Peter, let’s look again into 2 Peter 1:1-10.

In verse 5 he says, “For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue (excellence) and virtue with ___________________.

What else are we to strive to add to our faith?
• Virtue
• Knowledge
• ________________________
• ________________________
• ________________________
• ________________________
• ________________________

We are told that if we work to practice these things to the point that they are not only present in our lives but are increasing we will effective and fruitful in our cause for Christ!

It is critical that we recognize Jesus’ desire for us to KNOW the things He came to earth to teach us! 
• Matt. 11:29, Jesus asks of us, “___________ from me…”

Note the 2 different responses found in Acts 2 & 7. Which will my heart allow me to have?

As Peter closes his second epistle (2 Peter 3:18) he encourages us to, “_________ in the grace and _____________ of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” 

AM I SEEKING THIS KIND OF GROWTH IN MY LIFE?

How better to grow our faith like that grain of mustard seed than to make every effort to build our faith up with these things!
