Sharing Your Wealth
Source text: Acts 3:1-10
Often we discount our ability to help others by improperly assessing our means. Far too often we sell ourselves short forgetting the most valuable asset we have to give!
Paul explained to the Ephesian brethren about his work and the value of it:
Ephesians 3:7-8
Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
We need to be sure we are not being stingy with our faith and belief! Jesus was not pleased with those that did not believe that He had risen! (Ref. Mark 16:14-16)
We must ->BELIEVE ->OBEY ->GO TELL
Let's not be guilty of holding back on the riches of freedom and salvation by not openly sharing our love for Christ and His plan of Salvation!
Let us be purposeful and loving with our efforts to share the love of Jesus.
How we approach and teach can have great impact on our success or failure with someone.
Remember the emphasis and effort of those that knew the worth of what they had found in the Gospel.
-Parable of the hidden treasure, Mt. 13:44
-Parable of the pearl of great price, Mt. 13:45-46
Remember, when giving, the encouragement from the Lord found in 2 Corinthians 9:6, "he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully”.
Closing thought:
From the beginning of Jesus' ministry He admonished us to “Repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Mt 4:17). We need to heed the warning, be obedient to the call of the Gospel and go forth and tell others about it!
