What If Blessings Come Through Raindrops?
Introduction: What if the trials of this life (the rain, the storms, the hardest nights) are God's mercies in disguise?
1. What is the New Testament word for God's "blessings" and what English word is based off that Greek word?
2. Are we dead? if so, to what?
3. How did God "bless" Egypt, the Israelites, Joseph, and Joseph's family? (Genesis 50:19-20)
4. In Hebrews 12:3-13, how does God show his love to us, His children?
Conclusion: Trials and adversity in this life are inevitable. Yet, perhaps, there is a very comforting truth to each one. Your Heavenly Father loves you very much. Too much, in fact, to allow this life to make you comfortable and complacent, unchanged and conformed to this world. Rather, He loves you enough to transform you.
