In logical form, the teleological argument is constructed as follows:

1. If the Universe evinces purposeful design, there must have been a designer.
2. The Universe does evince a purposeful design.
3. Therefore, the Universe must have had a designer.

In order to prove this, so we might believe in our Designer and live a life of purpose, we need to put together a body of evidence suggesting the fine-tuning we see in the universe.
