Imitators of Christ

It is no scret in the field of science that infants and children learns more by imitating their parents than they do from verbal instruction.  It is evident that even as adults, we are heavily influenced into imitating the behavior of others - good and bad behavior alike.  Knowing that this is true and that we are eternity bound creatures; what influences would be the most importatnt ones for us to focus on in our lives?  Do you claim to be a follower of Jesus?  Can you prove that by your life?
