Thinking About the Lord's Supper
To the Christain, the Lord's Supper represents the most important event in human history. God's Son, Jesus Christ, died on the cross; was buried; and rose from the grave on the first day of the week. On the night He was betrayed, Jesus instituted the Lord's Supper - taking unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine. Christians have now been doing this for more than two thousand years.
