Examples of Meekness

Series: Learning To Deny Self

There are two notable cases of meeknes in the Bible.  This isnot to say the these are the only cases.  Obviously, they are not.  However, these two are cases where the word meekness is used.

1. Moses.  "Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men that were upon the face of the earth" (Num. 12:3).  The NKJV uses the word "humble" here.
2. Jesus.  Jesus said, "I am meek and lowly in heart" (Matt. 11:29, Matt. 21:5 and 2 Cor. 10:1).  Jesus, like Moses, demonstrated the qualities of meekness.
