Comparing God's ways and His will to our own will. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. To submit ourselves to our own ways is to submit ourselves to an inferior way and will. Superior, higher, spiritual. Those are descriptors of His will, way, and thoughts. Why would we not want to observe, obey, and adopt those things as our own?
