Too often, we tend to regard the work of God as somethng that happened long agao to somebody else.  We acknowledge God's work in creation, in sending His Sone to die on the cross, and in equipping the apostles to spread the gospel, but we define the end of the era of inspiration as the end of God's work.

In this, we do both God and ourselves a disservice.  Paul makes clear that the most important work of God is not in the creation or in the working of sings and wonders, but in th work that God does in and for all Christians.  If we fail to recognize the presence of this work in us, we deny God His due.
