Being Passionate About God
As we work to develop our lives in faithfulness to God, we recognize the wisdom of God in His
commands to tell others about His love for us and the saving power of the sacrifice of His Son.
This is but one of many ways we plant the seed of the kingdom!
? The ______________ of heaven is like a __________ of _____________ seed that a man took and
___________ in his field… (Matt. 13:31)
? What am I passionate about?
- What can I usually talk about without much prompting? __________________________________
- What am I a “subject matter expert” in? ______________________________________________
- What do I notice myself getting excited about when discussing? ___________________________
? Jesus teaches us that where our treasure is is where our hearts will be. Does this make me think
differently about my material possessions and how much effort I put into them?
? Do I love Jesus enough to tell other about Him? YES / NO -Even strangers? YES / NO
? Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends… Ref- John 15:13
? What two characters do we see in today’s lesson that demonstrates this level of love?
________________________ & ____________________________
? Can you write a good definition of evangelism? ______________________________________________
? Can someone obey the Gospel after hearing it only one time? YES / NO
? For I am not ________________ of the ______________, for it is the _______________of _________
for _____________________ to ______________________ who believes, to the Jew first and also to
the Greek. (Romans 1:16 )
Lord, help me sow the seed. Strengthen my hands and my mind to work in the kingdom everyday. Help me to
develop a compassion for the lost. Help me share the Gospel with others with greater zeal.
1 Peter 3:15
“in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to
anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and
respect…
