What Repentance Looks Like
In Acts 20:26-27 Paul described his efforts to proclaim “the whole counsel of God.” What is that?
We have not heard “the whole counsel of God” if we have not heard his command to repent (Ezek 18:30; Matt 3:2; Mark 1:15; Acts 2:38; 8:22; 17:30).
There is more to following Jesus than repentance, but certainly not less (Luke 13:5).
Repentance is hard—harder than regret, embarrassment, or the offering of an apology.
- Repentance means you change your mind (Luke 15:17)
- Repentance means you change your behavior (Luke 3:8)
So how? How does that come about? What does it look like? What is happening when I repent?
